Christ Altogether Lovely

This writing is from my favorite puritan John Flavel. Find out why this often overlooked puritan was quoted and loved by Charles Spurgeon.

"First, He is altogether lovely in his person: he is Deity dwelling in flesh, John 1:14. The wonderful, perfect union of the divine and human nature in Christ renders him an object of admiration and adoration to both angels and men, 1 Tim. 3:16. God never presented to the world such a vision of glory before."

There Is No Justification For Abortion

Forty years ago today in 1973, the Supreme Court issued its ruling in "Roe v Wade". No matter what the circumstances, there is no justification for abortion.

Is There Ignorance of Rick Warren?

It bothers me there is silence in the pulpits about highly influential wolves such as Rick Warren. Why? This man is at the top of all that is going wrong in modern Christianity. Is it because church leaders are afraid to offend those in their churches who admire Warren, or they are ignorant to his subtle heresy?

After listening to this segment of "Fighting for the Faith", there no longer should be naivety or excuses. Rick Warren was recently interviewed by Oprah on her show who promotes a New Age Christ and spirituality.

There he was, a professing minister of the gospel of Christ, had an amazing opportunity to share the good news to millions of viewers (like he has many times), and you won't believe what he does with it.

"treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2 Timothy 3:4-7

Jesus or Your Favorite...?

‎"If the Biblical Jesus Christ were to rebuke your favorite theologian, favorite denomination, favorite politician, or favorite sin, would you forsake all and follow Him? Or would you cling to what you "feel" is right in the face of Truth and be as the rich young ruler who turned from Christ. Or the throngs of people who only wanted a Christ to vanquish their enemies, feed them unlimited fish and bread and not dare crush them and their sin?"
